1 Month Old!

Our sweet Brinley Joy, you are officially one month old! We love you so much sweet girl and feel so blessed to have you in our lives. This past month has been quite the whirlwind but definitely the best month of Daddy and I's lives. We've enjoyed getting to know you and watching you grow and change each day. You are the sweetest little angel and Daddy and I talk often about how our hearts are just bursting with love for you.

You are such a happy little girl and it's been such a joy taking care of you during these early weeks. Even when we are tired and up at 3-4 a.m to feed you, all you have to do is gaze up at us with those beautiful blue eyes and our heart melts. Or when we are trying to get you to sleep a little longer after the 6-7 a.m. feeding and you flash us that beautiful little smile.

You're very active for 4 weeks and have been smiling and cooing up a storm. You like to take naps but also enjoy hanging out on the bed with Mommy and Daddy and just looking around the room and making funny faces. You are incredibly expressive little bug!

You also can imitate us a bit and especially like it when we stick out our tongue at you and you can copy it. Your favorite time of day is early morning and you just smile all the time. You also like playing airplane with mommy and sleeping on my chest. You enjoy interacting with daddy and he talks and reads to you all the time.

You are a very good eater but are incredibly patient if we are a little late on meal times. You really go with the flow and most times, hardly make a peep! If you get very upset you often let out a 1-2 second alarm cry to get our attention and there have been a few times when you do this adorable pouty cry that truly breaks our hearts and makes us want to hold you immediately (which we do!)

You're still wearing some newborn clothes but have almost grown out of all of them completely. You are also still in newborn diapers but we will be switching you to size 1 in the next week or so.

Another recent development is that you have lost all of your hair on the top of your head and are now a little baldy. It's so cute though!

We've been giving you lots of nicknames, including Brinny Boo, little bug and daddy's favorite, monkey or monks for short.

Everyone loves you so very much and can't get enough of you! Nana and Grandpa Tom text Mommy almost everyday looking for more pictures of you and Grandma Ann and Grandpa Rob keep begging Mommy and Daddy to go out so they can baby sit you : )

We feel so blessed to be your mommy and daddy little one and can't believe we've gotten to have you here for a month already.
