June 2017

So a lot of June was taken up by the construction, but we also took time out to celebrate Brinley Joy's 4th birthday as well as attempt to get stuff ready for Baby Leibrock #2.

Overall a crazy busy start to the summer but lots of fun too!

So during the midst of the reno chaos, I ended up having to take Brinley into the office with me one Friday morning to work. It was quite the adventure! She did really well watching her movies, for the most part. ;)

Finding a little corner to read in, even with her playroom a mess.

What mom? I'm reading!

We hosted our small group at the fire station. This was our attempt at a kid pick in front of the trucks. Ha! We are really blessed by this group though and love all of the friends we have made!

Three mama and three baby bumps!

So far it's two boy bumps and a ???

Birthday girl! So cute, she woke up and I heard her go "huh" (intake of breath) "it's my birthday!"
My birthday collage for her. Growing up so fast!!
So sweet. These family naps are getting more and more rare. Enjoying them when I can!
I had to take a big, big belly shot, lol!

Minnehaha falls with our family. I was so nervous about her leaning over the edge but Daddy had her nice and tight.

Oh how I love our family!

This little crooked mouth smile, it's her "thing" these days!
My sweet Grandma B passed away this month. Oh how we will miss her infectious smile and laugh! She was a wonderful Grandma and I love her very much. Until we meet again in heaven, Grandma!

New haircut!

Home renovations, before and after pics!

From May 15-June 16 we undertook some major renovations/refreshes in our house. It was a crazy 5 weeks of living in a construction zone, eating lots of fast food, having a stove and fridge in the hallway, moving furniture, losing access to our sink, washer and dryer, etc. But overall we survived and our house is beautiful! Truly the style came together just as I had imagined it and we feel so blessed to have had the opportunity to make all of these changes and make our house more into the home we want it to be.

My theme was beachy so we went with a lot of white and teal colors to brighten everything up. Matt was skeptical along the way and thought it would look cold, stark and sterile but he trusted me and it turned out amazing. He loves it too! :)

We are unfortunately having some chipping issues with our paint and will most likely have a long battle ahead with that, but I'm trying very hard not to focus on the negative and look at the big picture and how wonderful everything looks!

Changing the exterior color from tan to blue was one of the best things that we did. Everyone thought we were crazy for paining our siding (and who knows, maybe we are!) but it looks amazing. We tried out like 10 blues though before we picked this one. Also, we had a disagreement with our painter on the soffits. Overall though, it looks great and we are super happy with how it turned out!

Master bath is another favorite area, in addition to painting all of the trim and woodwork white, we changed the wall color to a soft teal and then put in a new tile floor. It looks so much nicer!

The living room is also so much lighter and brighter. New overall wall color and accent wall color, white trim and woodwork, removed the old blinds and added white curtains. It all turned out really great!

We removed the decals and changed the wall color in the playroom as well as got new carpet (and got rid of the huge couch!)

The kitchen is probably the biggest change. New quartz counter tops, gorgeous new glass tile backsplash and painted cabinets. So much brighter and more modern!

My new favorite room in the house. I LOVE my new mudroom with all of the awesome storage, brand new HUGE washer and dryer and slick new floor. I told Matt when we moved into the house that I wanted my dream mudroom and I got it. LOVE LOVE LOVE! (It's the little things ;))

Doesn't this just make you happy? Look at all that storage?!
