Super fun Holiday season where we forgot all about COVID, ha!
Well, Santa pictures looked a bit different this year due to COVID...
Becca has been enjoying her new school!
I LOVED our holiday card/baby announcement! This is a crazy time of life but we are just so, so blessed!
My favorite part, introducing our little bundle of joy to the world!
Well, we finally finished the basement and bought Matt's dream TV! It's HUGE!
Screening for pyloric stenosis. Poor guy! He's all good though!
Oh Becca
We decided to try the Melatonin gummies before bed for the girls. They worked, ha!
Out like a light, ha!
Much to Matt's dismay, I took advantage of Black Friday sales and ordered some baby monitors to have around the house. It's super convenient but Matt hates feeling like he's being watched all the time. I do get his point, but they are sure nice to keep track of the kids. Here is Brinley, checking one out. Maybe I will show this pic to her first date someday, lol!
Playing dress-up with Mommy's clothes!
Our Christmas tree decorating party! We put up decorations in early November but waited until a few weeks before Christmas to get our tree. The girls enjoyed decorating while baby Ri-Ri and I sat!
Me and little buddy
Our beautiful house decorated for Christmas! What a HUGE blessing that was to get the exterior re-done this year.
Before and after. WOW!
LOVE the new look!
Brinley staged this, Rian watching Netflix, lol!
Buddy bear!
To always help us remember her brave spelling! :)
Beautiful Brinley under her bed for home learning!
December was filled up with Blessing Boxes as well. I had a lot of fun with these but man were they A TON of work!
We got Rian's crib setup. He may not have his own room but he will have his own little wall space at least! :)
Those smiles!
I have been watching a TON of Hallmark movies this Christmas season and I had to take a picture of the Hallmark worthy snowfall that was lightly coming down at my parents house. Isn't it pretty?
Finally getting to meet Grandma Robbin as well!
Sadie all dressed up for winter, lol!
Fun in the snow at Grandpa and Grandmas
I got to go out to eat with my Mom and Garry and had just one kiddo with me! Amazing how the perspective changes and that feels like a break, ha! The prime rib was oh so good.
Such attentive grandparents!
Such a sweetie
Snuggly after a super relaxing bath, just mama and Ri guy. It was super fun just spending time with him! I loved it!
Getting to meet Uncle James!
Uncle James and soon to be Aunt Erin!
She's a natural with babies. I can't wait for their turn one day!
Me and my babies in matching pjs. SO blessed! :)
It might get a little crazy though!
But it's always worth it!
Pretty makeup and beautiful baby :)
I can't get enough of the baby snuggles!
One positive of all of this remote stuff was getting to watch Becca every week doing dance on Zoom. She's such a little ham and really loves dance!
She's a natural on the bikes and trikes!
Sleeping angel
So many Blessing Boxes! We got to Bless 20 families this Christmas season. It was such a fun thing to do with my friends and help the girls learn the joy of giving.
Of to deliver the Blessing Boxes! We went more than 100 miles and it took us all day but it was worth it!
Matt caught an action shot of us delivering a box. So fun to get the girls involved as well.
I participated in a fun post on FB where you had to describe some of your favorite ornaments. Ornaments have been a special thing for us and we try and collect a new one on vacations that we go on or other special moments in our lives. This one is one of my favorites as I bought it at Disney on the trip that Matt and I went on when I was pregnant with Brinley. I love putting it up every year and remembering that special time!
We have many of these homeade ornaments but the hand prints are some of my favorites. So special to capture them when they are so little. I know they won't be that way for long!
This one was from our very special trip out to South Dakota over the summer. Seeing that buffalo herd was an experience that I will never forget!
I used to love this ornament when I was a kid. So fun to have ornaments that I grew up with on our tree today and to see my kids play with them just like I used to!
The Christmas right after we found out that Brinley was going to be a big sister :)
Handsome daddy when he was in first grade!
Our bathroom is done! I LOVE this new tub!
So. Much. Laundry. Seriously!
Singing at preschool! Although mom and dad messed up and forgot to put her in her holiday gear. #parentfail
Take my picture, mom!
No words.
We LOVE it's a wonderful life and watching it is always a tradition. But it was particularly special this year and so I had a bit of fun with the face swap app. I think we look cute!
Elvis has nothing on my man!
Made these funny ones with some of our friends pics as well, lol!
The Redmans!
Oh Brinley!
First presents of Christmas!
Becca was really into opening presents this year. She even opened one before Christmas just randomly from under the tree! She would just tear through presents, even if they weren't hers. She was so excited though, it was super cute!
Brinley liked to take her time a bit more and savor it. She was really excited about the Elf on the Shelf this year and we also did Shepherd on the Search. She named them Zach and Sheepy. These ages are just so fun at Christmas!
Speed boats for up at the lake!
Might be the last Christmas with the Bird. :( What a sweet dog!
Rian wasn't so sure what he thought about everything...
Beautiful Brinley! She let me do her hair and even a little makeup :)
We all took time to get ready and took some photos in front of the fire place. I may have gone a bit overboard on holiday apparel this year and had matching out fits for every Christmas celebration. Poor Matt, after days of having his outfits picked out for him he asked me on the last day "what he was supposed to wear" and was relieved when I finally told him he could wear whatever he wanted again! I think maybe next year we just have one outfit, but it sure if fun, ha!
Love our family
Photo bomb by Brinley!
Love these pics of Matt and his mama. I am just beginning to understand the special relationship between mother and son!
I don't always get to take a long time to get ready but when I do, I have fun!
Our 12th Christmas together. Wowza!
Those antlers!
Twas the night before Christmas...
The Christmas Elf! This was the same outfit that my brother wore for his first Christmas. I LOVE that my mom kept this! SO special!
Table pic!
Matching Christmas Jammies! Just missing Wes and Sarah
Next year they will be Mr and Mrs!
They sure love their grandbabies!
How cute is he?!?!
Meeting Uncle Wyatt!
Fun with Brinley :)
Becca's first haircut! I put it off as long as I could, ha!
New Year's eve lounge look from the Ri Guy
Matt made the most incredible meal! Steak, shrimp and lobster. Yum!
And I got a HUGE surprise, diamond earrings! My husband is the best!!!! 2020 was a bit of a crazy year with COVID, but it was also full of so many blessings. We got to slow down a TON. No work travel, lots of home time (sometimes more than we wanted), lots of cancelled events, but lots simple memories made. And welcoming baby Ri-Ri was definitely the highlight of the year. Yes, things were rough at times but I think I will always look back on this year as such a blessing.
