Life settles into a new normal in November

So after the whirlwind that was October, we slowly began to settle into our new routine in November. I got a bit more comfortable with my job and we all loved having daddy home every night. There were many times in these first few weeks where Matt and I would look at each other and think is this seriously our life? Do we both have jobs that we love and do we both get to be home every night to have dinner as a family?

It took Brinley a little while longer to get used to the new routine as she wasn't used to having both Mommy and Daddy home together so much. She was very clingy to Matt in the beginning because I think she was afraid that since Mommy was home Daddy would have to go to work. But she's since adjusted really well and I think we all are hitting our stride. Right in time for the craziness of the holiday season to take over. :)

November was also a big month because Brinley started swimming lessons! She did really great and we were so proud of her. She was even swimming on her own (with a floaty and a noodle) by the end! She was basically running in the water and it was so cute to watch!

After all of the fun that Brinley had with her cousins this summer, we really wanted to make it a priority to get out to DC for Thanksgiving this year. Plus, Matt and I have been telling Dana and Phil that we'd visit for like the past 5 years and we hadn't yet. So this was definitely our year.

We had a blast and Brinley once again had a great time with our cousins. Life is definitely good in the Leibrock house these days and we truly have much to be thankful for this Thanksgiving!

Why my husband leaves ice cream containers with this much remaining, I will never know :)

Lunch date with Mommy before I had to fly to New York. With the new job, I've got to get as much Brinny time in as I can!

It was so cute, after lunch she said "mommy that was fun eating pizza with you."

We tried swimming lessons this fall and Brinley did awesome! She didn't love going underwater at first or getting her eyes wet, but she got so much better towards the end. And she was the only kid in her class who was actually swimming at the end!

Red rover, red rover, send Brinley right over!

I went to visit my parents in WI and had the chance to meet the new baby Frankie who was just a week old! Loved getting the chance to encourage Kristin in her last weeks of pregnancy. She was a rockstar!

Brinley in her own seat on the airplane!

Daddy is like "oh no, this is going to be bad." She actually did awesome and we were all proud of her!

Ms. Brinley of course refused to nap and ended up passing out right before dinner. What a nut!

After George Washington's house Phil and I left with the kiddos and let the original Leibrocks enjoy a kid-free lunch. The kids were definitely tired and passed out in the car. 3/4 are out here.
And now we've got 4/4!
