Feb. 2020

So February was SUPPOSED to start off awesome with our family cruise for my mom's retirement. This was a MUCH anticipated event, but unfortunately Brinley got sick a couple of days before we left. We took her to the dr and her influenza test was negative so we felt okay taking her on the trip. Plus, we really, really didn't want to disappoint my family.

Unfortunately though, Becca got sick the first night on the ship, then we all went down like dominoes after that. Matt and I got it the worst and were SUPER sick. When we got home, I went to urgent care and was diagnosed with pneumonia. Looking back now, I think it was likely that we all had COVID but there's no way of telling now...

Despite all of the sickness though, we still managed to have a great trip (separate post on that) and a good rest of February. Just as I was recovering from being ill, and in the midst of morning sickness, we began to resume some normal life. However, the pandemic hit in early March and our life was totally rocked... more to come on that as well!

Home from the cruise, given a mask to help with moisture and breathing as my lungs were ragged! It felt like razer blades trying to take a breath!

Recovering! I was really sick for a good solid week. And was super worried being in my first trimester...

Doing better!

Even a little makeup!

Telling Matt's parents! Such a fun night!

We loved Tokyo grill! Our first family dinner out since the cruise and all of the sickies. Who knew it would be one of the last for 5 months!

Cruise!

The long awaited CRUISE! It was such a bummer to be dealing with so much sickness but we really made the best of it and it was great to spend time with my Mom and Garry, brothers and their SOs.

Brinley really was thrilled to get on the boat, despite this look!

Matching outfits and a fun family pic!

Sisters and a stinker!

Awe, they love Daddy!

Oh daddy!

Here we go!

Me and my girls!

Checking out that balcony when we got on the ship! We had a suite this time and the extra room made a HUGE difference! Thank you momma! ;)

First formal night. Poor sick little Becca. :(

Bouncing back and some SUPER cute matching dresses. Mommy even had one too!

The carousel is a HUGE favorite!

Waiting for the water show! Which unfortunately ended up getting cancelled due to the wind conditions :(

Goofs!

Nana and Bapa!

James and Erin

Wes and Sarah

After the show got cancelled we placated ourselves with more carousel time. The girls were thrilled!

Brinley was mad at Zoltar for some reason, lol

We did LOTS of this. Resting and snuggling!

Thankfully, we all felt pretty decent for the beach day. Ever since Matt and I went to Honeymoon beach on St. John's when we went on our cruise several years ago, we've been dying to go back. And it didn't disappoint!

Gorgeous beach! Clear blue waters! Heavenly!!

Sand castle pride!

Mommy helped!

Family pic!

The next day Matt was starting to feel pretty sick but we still managed to do some exploring of old San Juan. We also hunted for our "free" jewelry treasures and both my mom and I got some cool new stones. The girls also got popsicles, which they loved!

Daddy and the Becks!

Real life trying to get a pic, ha!
