April and Easter Fun!

April started out a bit rough, as we got some challenging news about baby number 2. They had found a soft marker for a genetic condition and with all of my anxiety and depression struggles, it really just put me over the edge in terms of my mental ability to cope. I would recite Phillipians 4:6-7 over and over and over in my head when worry would take over. Boy did I learn to cling to God through this season.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Since then, we've had additional genetic testing done and all looks really great, so we are continuing to hope and pray that this sweet little one is safe and healthy.

April also brought a lot of fun, including getting ready for Brinley's dance recital and lots of fun time with family over Easter (with absolutely gorgeous weather!)

Spent extra time on hair and make-up as a "pick me up" to get through the challenging first days after hearing the "news" of baby number two's potential issues... So hard!

While I was fixing my lipstick in the car, little B decided to give herself a mustache with the pen. Little stinker!

This sweet girl had dance photos this month, what a cutie pie!

Can she be anymore beautiful? Melts my heart!

And apparently dance photos were exhausting as she passed out in the car, lollipop still in her mouth!

Oh how she loves Birdie!

As we start to setup the baby's room, we had to take Brinley's toddler bed and convert it back into a bed. She then go this new "big girl" bed. She looks so small in it and I miss the days of sitting next to her little bed and holding her hand while she went to sleep. We also moved the rocking chair into the baby's room so no more reading books and snuggling there. She's growing up so fast and I'm realizing more and more that she will never be this little again! :(

Great pic before naptime at school. Brinley doesn't like nap time at school and it's her number one compliant about why she doesn't want to go everyday. We've had a bunch of really hard drop-offs that break mommy's heart, but we know the social interaction and learning is really good for her!

Along with being an emotional basket case during this pregnancy, I've also had some pretty demanding cravings. One of them being for "grape" flavored water (not sparkling water as that give me heart burn!). I asked Matt to get me some grape water at the store and since they didn't have it, he bought me every flavor of propel that they had. Such a sweetie but maybe a bit scared of my wrath too!

Toddler Tuesday fun with the Harlem Globe Trotters!

We are about to start some major home renovations during the month of May and this might be one of my favorite projects. I've always wanted a dream mudroom with customer shelving and we found a great local guy to build it for us. SO excited!

A very practical Easter bunny brought Brinley some rain gear, including boots, coat and umbrella. She loves them!

She didn't want to go into the kids program at Grandma and Grandpa's church so she stayed in the "big" church with us and did great. So proud of her!

This girl. LOVE!

Family pics!

My dad and Harley came up to visit too and B had a great time with Grandpa Tom!

Woke up Saturday morning and just needed to put on the princess dress. :)

Take my picture, mom!

Reading the book from great aunt Nancy, give please a chance!
