April Showers bring May Flowers

I wanted to go back and make sure to post some pictures and highlights from my two amazing baby showers in Wisconsin and Minnesota over the past couple of weekends.

I feel like a broken record talking about how loved and blessed we are to have so many wonderful family and friends in my life but it is so true! One of the best parts about having a baby is that you really get to see how awesome it is when all of the people who love and care about you in your life rally around you. There's nothing like it.

I had my Wisconsin shower first, on April 27, co-hosted by my step-Mom Robbin and Mom, Jeanne. It was at the Windsor Golf Club and couldn't have been a more beautiful location and setup. The theme was "nesting" and Robbin went all out with beautiful bird cage table decorations, bird nest desserts and perfectly coordinating napkins and plates. We also had very elegant food, including chicken salad sandwiches, cucumber sandwiches, and fresh fruit and veggies.

My Mom out-did herself with the games, prizes and favors provided by my Aunt and Mary Kay lady, Nancy. The hot pink polish was definitely a crowd favorite.

Honestly, I don't think Princess Kate will have a more elegant shower!

Beautiful dessert table
Fabulous bird cage decorations on every table. So creative!

The Minnesota shower on May 4th was equally as wonderful and included tons of friends from so many different aspects of my life. Super cool to see them all together in one place! I had a dear friend from college, friends from Grace church (over 6 years ago now!), new bible study friends, past and present co-workers, the wives of some of Matt's best friends growing up and the wife of a dear fire fighting buddy. My Mom also came from Wisconsin and just got to be a guest this time as well as my Aunt Audrey flew in from Michigan just to be there.

It was especially cool to see that after living in Minnesota for 10 years (including the 4 for college), this state is truly our home and we have such a wonderful support network here.

This shower was hosted by Matt's Aunt Beth and my Mother-in-law Ann. Both ladies out-did themselves with all of the wonderful details! We had delicious desserts, a fun memory game and of course fabulous gifts for me and baby girl. Such a fun time with so many wonderful friends and family.

Favorite gift of the shower. Super fashonista Mom diaper bag from Petunia Picklebottom. LOVE it!
All of the ladies
Adorable baby clothes used as decorations. And the best part was I got to take all of them home!
Me and the lovely hostesses
Quite the awesome prize table!
Neat shot of the flowers and the room
All of the babies to be at my shower. We are missing Bethany here and Lindsey who just had her little one a few weeks ago. So lucky to have all of these wonderful ladies to go through this parenthood journey with.
Thank you so much for everyone who came out to support our newly expanding family. Both Matt and I are incredibly grateful for all of your love and support. And for all of the out of town relatives that couldn't make it, you know who you are, we really really missed you but can't wait to see you soon!
