Once again time keeps flying and our little Bexie baby keeps growing!
You're still quite the big girl and weigh 15 lbs, 6 oz and are measuring 26 inches long. Your head is also continuing to grow at a steady pace and is not 17 inches around. You are wearing all 6 month clothes now but you've recently started to grow out of some of those and lately you've been wearing monthly 9 month clothes. I even tried a 12 month sleeper on you the other day and it fit! Crazy!
You're still eating about every 3 hours during the day but you've done 4 a few times now. We are going to keep trying to stretch that out. And thankfully your sleeping has returned to longer stretches at night which we are grateful for. You give us a solid 5 and sometimes as much as 10 before you eat again. You still do cluster feed in the early evening though, about every two hours from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and then it's off to bed! We are still not very structured with your schedule as mommy gets to be home with you for a few more weeks, which I love. You're my little buddy, Becca boo!
You also have 100 percent switched over to the crib or pack and play to sleep. You really are only in the rock and play to sit while Mommy gets ready or before a bath. You seem to like sleeping flat!
You've also gotten pretty good at putting yourself to sleep. We let you cry for 5 minutes and 9 out of 10 times you're sleeping!
Your witching hour has improved and you are starting to be a better napper. You do let us know though still when you're hungry or if you need your diaper changed!
You're officially grabbing stuff now and in other big news, you rolled over for the first time just the other day. You were on your back in the living room and mommy and Brinley were cleaning up the playroom and I heard you start making lots of noise and I looked over and you were on your tummy! We missed that first roll but I've watched you do it about a dozen times since then. You can tell you're very proud of your new skill but also still hate being on your tummy so you get really mad. It's funny though because you're the one rolling over! Ha!
You still love to suck your thumb but take your paci a lot more easily now. Your hair is still coming in on your bald spot and we are working on completely kicking the cradle cap. Momma has rubbed your head with olive oil twice now and it's still there... Grrr...
You still like sitting in your bouncer and can go 15-20 minutes at a time now. You haven't quite figured out how to bounce though yet, but you like playing with the toys. You're actually very into your toys now and your favorite is this little book from Great Aunt Audrey.
You definitely are going to be a mover though as you loved to flail your arms and kick your legs. Daddy thinks you look like King Kong when you so this. It's really cute!
You still light up when you see your sissy and she still adores her little Becca! We've caught her singing to you several times when you are crying and you always stop and stare at her.
We've had lots of fun this month with two Thanksgivings and lots of Christmas decorating and fun. Momma goes back to work on Jan. 2 fulltime and I'm so so so nervous to leave you but really hope you will love Four Square and have fun and learn lots! But for now, let's keep these baby snuggles coming, okay? :)
We love you happy girl and thank God for you everyday!
Welcome to our blog! Matt and I were married on Sept. 18, 2009 and welcomed our first baby, Brinley Joy, on June 9, 2013.
