Life with the Leibrocks: 10 month blog post!

I'm really trying to hurry up and get this post in here before you turn 11 months, but these weeks keep flying by so fast these days. I swear, it gets harder and harder to keep up!

Major updates over the last few weeks:
1) Stood on her own! This was a big one and happened on Nana's bday, June 16 so just past 10 months old. You stood in your play pen in the living room and both Mommy and Daddy so it. You looked around and then sat yourself back down. So funny!
2) It's been a pretty rough month for illnesses. You got an ear infection over Memorial Day weekend and then had a bout of the stomach flu (while Brinley of course had strep) and then just last week you had a terrible case of hand, foot and mouth. We really, really want you to be healthy for a while now baby girl. You were so miserable with HFM, you'd just cry and whimper, it was heart breaking. But we gave you lots of ibuprofen and snuggles and you tried so hard to be your normal happy self. You're really such a happy baby which is why it's been so hard to see you sick!
3) Your little personality is coming out more and more and we have little nicknames for you to capture it.

Becca-Rex: You're an amazing eater and love all sorts of food including lots of meat. We honestly think chicken is your favorite food as you love to gobble it all up. You're definitely a little carnivore and we call you "Becca-Rex" sometimes when you're chowing down on the meat! (You also love foods you can pick up and eat whole like peas, or beans. We tried tomatoes the other day and you gobbled those down too!)

Becca-Kong: One of your favorite things to do is crawl over to the gate at the top of the stairs and shake, shake, shake. You like to holler while you do this so we call this personality "Becca-Kong." We have to be super careful though as you can actually pop it open!

Becca-Lion: You're starting to holler or "roar" at us when you don't get your way, or we take something away from you that you can't have (like everything you try and eat/put in your mouth). We can definitely see your strong will coming out so we call this the "Becca-Lion."

4) You're becoming lots more verbal and I think you officially said your first word "ba-ba" (bottle) the other day and were also calling out for "da" (daddy) the other night before bed. It's so fun hearing you speak and start to verbalize things.

5) Your smile is growing and your 7th tooth popped through on the lower right-hand side. We hope the left-hand side one comes in too or you'll be a bit lop-sided.

Much to mommy's dismay, we are hardly nursing anymore as you don't seem to have much patience for my diminished milk supply. We do still try at night and in the mornings but don't get a whole lot. You really love your bottles though!

Zou Zou is still our favorite nickname. Brinley even wants us to call her that some days as she wants to do everything just like her sister! She's very sweet and loving towards you, most of the time. ;)

Beck's, you're the absolute best. It's hard to believe that you've almost been with us 11 months. It feels like it's flown by but also that you've always been part of our family!
